Working for MOPAC
MOPAC is the organisation through which the Mayor of London exercises his role as Police and Crime Commissioner for the capital. There has never been a more challenging time for the police service in London; our staff are instrumental to our success in this highly demanding and complex environment.
Working for MOPAC
MOPAC works at the heart of London Government. MOPAC's 100+ staff work closely with the Mayor of London, Deputy Mayor of Policing And Crime and of course the Metropolitan Police Service.
MOPAC staff undertake a broad range of statutory duties and are directly accountable to the Mayor and Deputy Mayor for Policing And Crime in delivering their agenda for London.
We are dedicated to building a professional, highly skilled workforce that will deliver the Police and Crime Plan for London. We are committed to ensuring we stick to the same high standards on equality and diversity that we expect of the Metropolitan Police in our own recruitment.
If you have the knowledge, skills, experience, and above all, the desire to drive delivery on the Police and Crime plan then we want to hear from you.
Current vacancies
The GLA provides resourcing services on behalf of MOPAC. Applications for MOPAC vacancies are managed via an online recruitment system. View the list of current vacancies.
Independent Custody Visitors
Independent custody visitors (ICVs) are members of the local community who volunteer to visit police stations unannounced to check on the treatment and welfare of people held in police custody.
MOPAC is responsible for recruiting, selecting and appointing all custody visitors and aims to do this from as many different backgrounds and communities as possible to ensure the scheme reflects London’s diversity.
To find out more, including how to apply, please visit our Independent Custody Visitation (ICV) page.
