The last few years have been challenging for so many, and this has been particularly true for young Londoners.

At City Hall, we are determined to take steps to support young Londoners through the challenges they are facing now, and into the future, by ensuring they can all access positive opportunities.

However, we know that these opportunities are not evenly available, and we also know that some young people face bigger challenges than others. So, we’re trying to help.

What we're doing to support young Londoners

The Mayor's Young Londoners Fund (YLF) invested £45million and reached over 150,000 young Londoners. The programme supported a wide range of local community projects providing activities for young Londoners between 2018-2023.

We have also invested millions of pounds into the New Deal for Young People (NDYP), which is a London wide strategic partnership that is working to ensure that 100,000 disadvantaged young Londoners have access to high quality mentoring opportunities and all young Londoners have access to quality youth activities.

Below you can find out more about how we’re working with young people and our networks of partner organisations, professionals, schools and services to empower a new generation of Londoners to strive towards a fairer, more equitable and prosperous city.
